These creations were made in SolidWorks for my Material Science course at Northeastern University. The task was to create FCC and BCC unit cells in SolidWorks so that I could show my understanding of interstitial sites and Miller indices. The images each have their own label when hovered over so that you could see what each of them represent. The difficult part of this assignment was getting the radius of the interstitial atoms and their placement just right so that they are accurate. Overall, I learned about the power of reference geometry from this assignment as it helped with making cuts through through the unit cells so that they were shaped just right.
